I am in search of a book called: "Early Brides of Buncombe County" I would be interested in a look up or purchase. I am looking for the marraige record of Thomas C. Hayes and Prissilla S. Lanning. Somewhere around 1860? Any information on these people would be appreciated. Her dad was Jesse Lanning and her Mom was Lucinda Whitaker. I don't know about Thomas' ancestors at all. Thank you Rose Brown LaFayette Georgia

Query

I am looking for information and the exact location of Captain William Knowlton who died at sea and was buried at Novia Scotia. A land surveyor found his grave in 1839. Hopefully to find out more and any pictures of it if there are any. He is my ancestor.

I am serching for my cherokee ancestors. I was told many years ago from my aunt that we are blood relitives to the cherokee nation. My fathers name was Herbert Blanchard, his mothers name was Greeby or Gribe. I am not sure of the spelling. My mothers maiden name is Peterson. She is supposed to be the link to the Cherokee nation. Her mothers maiden name was Lotterhoffer. I believe that is the correct spelling. I hope to find my roots soon. Thank you.
